Yes, You Build Muscle While Sleeping

sleep to build muscleWhen it comes to working out and building muscle its not just about going to the gym all of the time. It’s about going to the gym while maintaining a healthy diet and getting the proper amount of sleep your body requires repairing itself. Some people think that if they go to the gym and work hard they will just get muscle but there is a lot more to it than just that. So here are some tips about why rest is so important.

Gain while sleeping

You muscles are not getting bigger at the gym. In fact they are actually breaking down. They get bigger after you are done working out and you are resting. You muscles become like vacuums after you work out sucking in as much nutrients as possible. That is why you must rest and let them take in the proteins, vitamins, amino acids and calories. When your body is sleeping it can repair it much more efficiently than when you are awake. When your body is asleep it releases certain chemicals that you don’t have released while you are awake and these chemicals help to fix all the tears you made in your muscles while working out.

Don’t Overwork

If you over work you muscles then they will just get smaller. You must figure out just how much they need and then rest right after so that your muscles can get extra big and make girls want you. Even if you are not working out a lot and you are high on caffeine all night that is not good for you. Sleep is part of your natural repairing mechanism so you should sleep the correct amount needed for you body to fix itself. Overworking is one of the mistakes most people make when they first start because they think the more I work out the bigger I get but it is actually not like that. You need to work out just enough and the stop and the do it again after your body heals itself. It is a very long and on going process and a routine that you must get into and stay dedicated to.

Shake right after

Make sure you drink a protein shake right after you workout and drink a shake right before you go to sleep. If you don’t have enough nutrients in your body while you are sleeping then your muscles will just lose mass instead of gain and no one likes that. So make sure that every single time you sleep you take in lots of protein. Some people even like to set their alarm to wake them up in the middle of the night to drink another protein shake. Some peoples body metabolize so fast that 6 to 8 hours of sleep is much to long to go with out eating or drinking a shake.

Calories while sleeping

Make sure that you have enough calories in your body before you go to sleep. Its not just about protein, it is about have a balance of all the different nutrients your body need to make as much gains as possible while you are sleeping. Sleep is when you muscles repair themselves the most efficiently but it only works when you balance every thing out properly.

I hope this was helpful and remember that you must do everything right in order to gain muscle while you are sleeping. Missing a meal or forgetting to drink shake can take a massive toll on your bodies ability to repair itself.
